Jessica is non-smoker that drives. She has experience taking care of children of all ages, from infant to teenager.  Currently, she volunteers at a nursery in Brazil and is in charge of six infants; she also has experience working in the Cardiology and Pediatric sectors of her local hospital. With her father in the military, Jessica has had to move around her whole life and has learned to adapt quickly and embrace change. Jessica describes herself as a kind, patient person who is responsible and mature when it comes to her job. She likes to stay active by swimming, riding her bike, or playing ball.

Mariel is a non-smoker that can swim and drive. She loves singing and is passionate about music. In 2007/2008, she spent a year in New Jersey as an Au Pair and can’t wait to come back to the U.S. to do it again. In Brazil, she works as a private English teacher for children of all ages ranging from 1 ½ to 17 years old. Mariel is fluent in English and Portuguese. She describes herself as a mature, fun, and outgoing person who values respect and communication in any relationship.

Cammila is a non-smoker that is First Aid certified, drives, and can swim. She is currently a student at Universidade Potiguar studying Technology in Oil and Gas, with a concentration on the Marine Environment. Cammila has had extensive experience as an English teacher for children ranging from two years old to seventeen years old. She loves children and comes from a big extended family with lots of young cousins. She describes herself as active, patient, fun and affectionate.

Alisa is a non-smoker with a driver’s license. She has just completed her Communication Arts degree at Bangkok University. She is also certified in childcare by Ban Prong Jaroen Temple Nursery. Alisa has worked as a part-time nanny and babysitter, as well as a tutor in language and math. She loves new experiences and meeting new people, and is very open-minded and adaptable. She has a natural love for children and describes herself as honest, cool-tempered, and responsible.

Camila is a native Portuguese speaker from Brazil. She is non-smoker and has her driver’s license. She describes herself as a very charismatic and entertaining person who loves to help others. She has experience working at a day care center taking care of children two years old and younger. She also babysits for two girls, ages 5 and 10. Camila graduated university with a Business degree, but has a passion for the arts—film, handicrafts, and especially literature.

Carol has been a part-time nanny for the last three years in Brazil. She also has experience working in a school with children ages 1-9 years old. She wants to pursue a degree in International Law, specifically human rights for children and women. Last year she spent time in America working and traveling, and now wants to come back as an Au Pair. Children give Carol great joy, and she values the opportunity to help raise them. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Her personal interests include movies, traveling, reading, the outdoors, and playing Nintendo Wii.

Hayley is a non-smoker with a driver’s license and knows how to swim. A self-proclaimed bookworm, Hayley can be found with her head in a book in her spare time. She also enjoys meeting new people, sightseeing, and listening to music. She has extensive experience babysitting children from 6 month old to 16 years old. Helping raise her younger brother from infancy is one of the best experiences she has ever had. Hayley describes herself as a happy, positive person that is very fond of children.

Magdalena is a citizen of Poland living in the United Kingdom.  She is a non-smoker who swims.  She has a big interest in Japanese culture.  She enjoys sports such as swimming, cycling and basketball.  She also enjoys movies, music and fashion.  She looks forward to being an au pair because she enjoys spending time with children, as well as learning new about new cultures.

Sarah is a citizen of the United Kingdom and she currently resides in the United Kingdom.  She is a non-smoker who swims and has experience in arts and crafts.  Her hobbies include volleyball, making balloon animals and performing magic tricks.  She is very active and eager to have new experiences.  She looks forward to sharing her culture with her host family while learning about American culture. 

Ricarda is a non-smoker that has a driver’s license and knows how to swim. She is also First Aid certified. She currently works at a daycare with children ages 1-6, but will have an education degree within the next few months. Becoming an Au Pair has been a dream of Ricarda’s since she was 13 years old and introduced to the idea by her English teacher. In her spare time, she likes to read and write books, go to the movies, or do outdoor activities. Ricarda looks forward to becoming a part of an American family and becoming a role model for their children.

Phoebe is an English major at Qingdqo Agricultural University in Qingdao, PRC. She aspires to earn her Master’s degree in English one day, and believes that by living in American she can learn way more about American culture and the English language than in any classroom.  Phoebe has experience with children young and older, both in general childcare duties and language tutoring. Her hobbies include learning languages, taking walks, and playing badminton.  

Phanschon (nickname is Namfon) is a non-smoker that has a driver’s license. She is an accomplished swimmer and kayak rower in Southeast Asia. She likes to read and is currently working on the “Twilight” series. Namfon would describe herself as energetic, positive, and cheerful. She has had prior live-in childcare experience and has worked with children ranging from ages 3 months to 17 years old. America is very interesting and exciting to Namfon and looks forward to improving her English skills.

Yangnan is a non-smoker that can drive. She has experience taking care of children, teaching English to middle school students, and is a Christian religious education teacher in China. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. Yangnan loves sports, especially the NBA and hopes to be able to catch an NBA game during her stay in America. She reads the newspaper everyday and likes to stay updated on the current events of China and the world. She describes herself as an energetic person that believes that there is goodness in everyone.
