Expert AuPair is owned by a Florida family. We aspire to make individual childcare more accessible to our fellow Floridians, and to provide the best service available.

1. Federal Designation: Expert AuPair is one of only twelve federally designated au pair sponsor organizations, and the only designated agency in the Southeastern United States. Our program includes the DS-2019 form required in order to obtain a J-1 cultural exchange visa.   All designated au pair sponsors have undergone a rigorous application process, and all must meet very high standards of service, including, for example, performing background checks and medical checks on au pairs.

2. More money in your pocket:  Expert AuPair is by far and away the most affordable of the designated au pair programs, and we are committed to a policy of no hidden fees. We encourage you to check out our available discounts. Our prices are lower because we are family-owned, we have a strong commitment to cost control, and because we screen our au pairs ourselves. 

3. No transfer fees within Florida and lower domestic transfer fees elsewhere: There are no domestic transfer fees for families in Florida. For most locations in central Florida, your au pair will be dropped at your house so you don't have to meet them at the airport, with all the hassle that entails.  Our nationwide transfer fees are low.
4. More money for your au pairs: We have one price for au pairs worldwide, which is $150 plus $300 deposit.  Therefore, your au pair can recoup their fees in just one week, and is more likely to enjoy the program. Why force your au pair to go through an agency that charges significantly more?   In fact, our au pair fees are so low that if you have prematched with an au pair who has "signed up with an agency" overseas, it is almost certainly cheaper for her to abandon her application with that agency and sign up with us.
5. Better medical insurance: If your au pair gets sick, there is normally no cost to them to visit a doctor. Our insurance offers a $0 deductible with no copay.  As with any insurance, there are exclusions, but it's well worth comparing medical insurance before you make a decision � there's nothing more frustrating than paying an au pair who is sick, cannot pay $100 to go to the doctor, and gets sicker still.
6. More affordable extension year: A one-time extension is available at the end of a successful year.  This helps your children's stability.   Few agencies advertise the cost of their extension year, but if you choose Expert AuPair, we will guarantee next year's cost of extension at the current price -- $275 per month, plus any State Department filing fees.  
7. Really good au pairs:   We have control of our overseas interviewers. We don't buy lists from the agencies that contact us from overseas � we recruit our own au pairs in Europe, South America, Australia and New Zealand. We know who interviews our au pairs, have interviewed each interviewer, and have checked their references.

8. Florida Orientation:   Expert AuPair flies au pairs in to airports in Tampa or Orlando for their orientation in Saint Petersburg.
9. Framework of Support: Designated organizations provide local and regional representatives to serve as a framework of support to our community of families. We hire a local representative within one hour of the home of every au pair we place and have a regional representative to support them. We have a very solid replacement and refund policy in case your match doesn't work.
10. Pre-screening: All designated organizations pre-screen au pairs. We interview au pairs in person, check their references, verify their language ability and complete background checks.  Unlike other agencies, whenever possible (depending on language) we check au pair's references ourselves, centrally from the office in Saint Petersburg.
11. Training: All designated organizations provide 32 hours of child development and safety training to their au pairs. We train au pairs in person at our offices in St. Petersburg.  All au pairs attend a First Aid and CPR certfication course. We offer a training session every week, so your au pair won't have to wait long while he or she is waiting for a specific "arrival date".
12. Your Choice: Your family and the au pair will choose each other, a policy which helps to avoid trouble later. In the unlikely event that you and your au pair do not get along, we have a transparent replacement policy and will never force you to choose a specific replacement au pair in order to qualify for a refund.
